The Office Manager is entrusted with fulfilling the purpose of One Hope Canada within Ness Lake Bible Camp. This person is to work closely with the Executive Director to oversee the administrative duties for the camp and to provide administrative support for the Executive Director. The Office Manager is a front line office position that will require a keen sense of dealing with the public and setting the work environment for the entire staff. This position requires exceptional organizational and administrative skills, strong general office skills, the ability to train and supervise others (paid and volunteer), and proven ability to work as part of a team to build the Kingdom of God.
The Guest Services Manager is entrusted with fulfilling the purpose of One Hope Canada within Ness Lake Bible Camp. There are three main parts to this position. The first is working with Guest Groups. You will need to ensure each Guest Group has an amazing experience at Ness Lake Bible Camp (NLBC). You will act as a liaison between the Guest Group and the NLBC Staff and the Year Round Crew (YRC) to ensure that camp is ready prior to the Guest Groups arrival. Occasionally you will be expected to act as the host, especially during the larger guest groups. This person will strive to exceed the expectations of guests by providing consistently superior service and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere at camp. The second part involves marketing and promoting NLBC, especially for year round events. This will involve contacting various groups that may potentially be interested in using the wonderful facilities that NLBC offers. Promoting and marketing the camp to these groups will involve collaborating with the Executive Director and completing and improving the established marketing plan.
The Operations Director directs and supervises the day to day operations of the Ness Lake Bible Camp. The Operations Director coordinates the internal structure of the camp based on camp’s policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient Christ-like working environment. An Operations Director role is varied as they have a hand in virtually every aspect of the camp and are tasked with ensuring it all runs smoothly and efficiently. For example, one day it could involve dealing with camper’s issues and the next day to directing staff to work on various projects. This is an extremely demanding position. Put simply, the Operations Director is the “right hand” person to the Executive Director. They act in the capacity of the Executive Director in his/her absence, assuming all responsibilities of the position. The Operations Director gets things done by continually evaluating how the camp operates and together with the Executive Director, they implement strategies to ensure the camp runs smoothly and in accordance with OHC and NLBC policies.
