Date: May 24, 9:00-4:00
Location: Nechako Bottle Depot
What: Any deposits including milk jugs!
Ness Lake Bible Camp’s annual ‘Cans for Kids’ fundraiser is set for Saturday, May 24th! Come on down to the Nechako Bottle Depot from 9-4pm and drop off your recyclables. Our team will be receiving, and unloading so not only will you be helping send kids to camp, you won’t have to wait in line!
The Nechako Bottle Depot is generously matching funds raised during the event. Did you know that milk jugs are returnable for money as well, so throw them in with your cans and bottles? Last year nearly 200 kids benefited from the Camper Sponsorship program. Thanks to fundraisers and donations, kids who might otherwise have been unable to come weren’t left out.
Every kid deserves to come to camp, and it has always been the priority to make camp accessible to all. Fundraiser events are one of the ways camp is made available to everyone, by helping pay part or all of the fees for families that might not otherwise be able to afford to send their kids to camp. Campers will enjoy a wide range of activities and new experiences all while building friendships in their cabins and activities.
In 2023 Cans for Kids we raised $7,806 and in 2024 we raise $5,862. In 2024 with our Cans for Kids, Polar Bear Dip and other donors we were able to sponsor 125 kids. This year we are already expecting more requests for sponsorship!
This year donations of 3 large garbage bags or more will receive an entry to win a free camp session that can be redeemed for summer 2025, a year round event like Women's Weekend, Men's Camp etc, or save it for Summer 2026! (Many weeks of camp are already full for this summer!)
Have a large donation and want to request a pick-up? If you have 3 garbage bags full or more we will come and pick them up and you’ll still get to enter the draw! Click HERE to request a pickup!
