Summer Missionary Information

Why devote your entire summer to little sleep, few breaks, and pay that is more like a pat on the back than it is a fair compensation? Because this summer lives will be changed forever, and you will have a hand in that process. Serving at camp is one of the hardest things that you will do, but we are confident that it will be one of the best things that you will do. Our challenge to you is that you would go before God on your knees if you sense that he could be leading you to NLBC, because first and foremost in our selection criteria of Summer Team is that you are coming on board as a response to God's leading in your life.

While you join us for the summer, we want to make sure that you are taken care of, and that you are adequately equipped to do the tasks required of you. We also want to make sure that you get lots of time to build friendships, watch a sunset or two, go out for a wake board session with friends, and have time to yourself. We would also be thrilled to have a hand in seeing you develop as a result of your time at camp - both in terms of skill, attitude and spirituality.

As a Mission, NLBC relies on the provision of God through the gifts of his people to supplement our expenses. This applies to the Summer Team, whose members are expected to fundraise their compensation. We appreciate the burden that this may create, but we invite you to join us as we faithfully trust that God will provide for our needs. That being said, NLBC endeavours to be as generous with our Summer Team as our resources permit, and honoraria may be awarded at the discretion of the Ministry.

  • Travel Expenses: NLBC will reimburse up to $250 for Summer Volunteers depending on distance travelled. Residents of Prince George excluded

  • Room & Board: NLBC will provide room and board free of charge for the duration of your stay. Summer Team in the age of majority (18+) are welcome to stay at camp during breaks (excluding residents of Prince George)
