PROGRAM SPECIALIST

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Program Specialist is responsible for the safe and appropriate operation of NLBC's watercraft, instructing and overseeing the Wakeboard/Waterski skill, and facilitating our twenty-foot climbing wall, and programming campers into their chosen skills. When not engaged in these duties, the Program Specialist will act as an assistant to the Program Director, helping with the setup and implementation of games and activities, and will act as a support to the Cabin Team.

 

The Program Specialist will hold experience in watercraft operation, and will hold or obtain a Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator Card before the beginning of the summer. He or she will undergo training for the operation of NLBC's watercraft, and will show proficiency in their safe operation by the beginning of the summer. He or she will have experience climbing and belaying, and will undergo Facilitator training before the beginning of the summer. He or she will have advanced administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). A combination of experience and qualifications may be considered as an alternative to the above. The Program Specialist must be at least 18 years old before the start of his or her position.

 

 

 

This position is in effect from May 27 to August 31.
